Yup. Every student given assignment is indeed a challenge to be completed in the time span of three months. It always starts with a short lecture of introduction. Moving on to a few case studies and basic principles concerning the subject and then further on moving towards examples; which are often imitated by some—culprit. At this point usually, the learner is expected to have come up with a certain title, or in other words, ‘Which topic/company/individual you want to do for your work?”

Usually, examples that are brought by lecturers are really nice ones. For example, when Mr. Bodoni brought some font samples into my class back then, I’m not sure if this happen to anyone but people do have their wishlists and ‘drool–list‘. What more if a fontshop sample book or catalog is brought in! Nevertheless, the rest of the gang.

But the below, was tought by Mr. Minimalist. It was a really thoughtful one back then. All the little desires to be dirty on the canvas were cleaned up, pratically for functionalism. Grids were placed in a more challenging way eg; try using even–numbers for grid to be safe or look for trouble in odd–numbers. Besides, it saves many time if you look for the proper tools to work with and not be skeptical about unknown working methods.

Type back then was learned to be flushed correctly and evenly throught every spread. Details, were hunted down like wild–ducks.

This one, also, nothing much to be proud of here was a very interesting one. What could be better to find out that spray–mount are very useful during that period of time?

You might be asking why all this old stuff. Or maybe why should one want to post school work. Answer is: I thought this would be a good thing to start with.
