That is a spread taken from one of designs while I was studying in my previous college (Second ‘art’ college in line).

Absolutely nothing to be proud of here really. As shown, it has this really weird 6 column grid–system wacked on an A5 sized booklet. Together with it, I just learned how to use photoshop and found out how to use the Multiply & Transparency tool in it’s most basic way together with hearing a little about the fact that CMYK is used for printing. Not forgetting my favourite tool once upon a time in my effort to be like David Carson, the Blur tool. Coming in handy with it, the Eraser tool with morphic shapes. Also, learned that you need to bleed certain page’s and also scorn in between spreads for accurate folding. I learned all this, not very long ago, in April 2005, as a second year student.
I am really, not a very good designer. Just trying.

Man, I still don’t like Gill Sans.
What sort of grid is that? Might as well drop it.

We all love Carson, and we all want to be Carson – some point in our life. Who wants to be Josef Muller Brockman for his entire life?
    That will be so bounding.

I think, Rambutans should be steamed.

Yup, guess even minimalist’s once ventured into the ‘Carson effect’ before attempting minimalism. Unless Carson went to The Hague & created Helvetica.
Also, maybe its time to approach Rambutans the mamak style; Mau goreng?
